The Bicycle Thrift Shop is a non-profit organization, located in Asheville, North Carolina. Founded 13 years ago, our mission is to provide access to cycling for youth, families, and individuals, who would not otherwise have that opportunity.
Current hours will fluctuate but will mostly be: Tuesdays 1-5 pm, Thursdays 1-5 pm, and some Saturdays (1-5 pm). Be sure to double-check Facebook and Instagram for the latest shop hour updates.
Our Mission: We provide access to cycling for youth families and individuals who would not otherwise have that opportunity! We do this by refurbishing donated bikes, parts, and gear and selling them to the general public at costs lower than (almost) anywhere else. Proceeds fund youth cycling programs, greenways, and other cycling-related activities in and around Western North Carolina.
We cannot fulfill our mission without your help!
How it works: Our program is 100% donation based. We take in donated bikes and gear, refurbish them and the offer them for sale to the general public at very affordable prices.
Stop by and donate your "Dusty but not Rusty" bikes and gear today! We take bikes of all shapes and sizes, as well as clean clothing, parts, wheels, racks etc.
Trades: We don't buy bikes or take trades. Our bikes are already priced at trade in prices, so that everyone has access to those discounts!
Tune ups: We don't offer tune up and repair services. Our local bike shops support us and we don't want to compete with them. They are great at what they do!
